I saw the first picture in this post, on a friends' Facebook wall the other day and thought it was a photograph. It is a painting by Vincente Romero; Spanish artist of incredible talent. This picture speaks a thousand words and I love the way he captured the delicacy of the shawl she's holding up and the play of light from behind. It is simply beautiful!
