Liesel Trautman ceramics

There is absolutely nothing I love more than beautiful design. When I saw Liesel Trautman's work at Kamersvol Geskenke this last Friday, it was love at first sight. It immediately grabbed my attention with it's freshness and simple designs. Like me, she's an image junkie and draws inspiration from Victorian and Chinese design. My personal favourite is her take on the kewpie doll (something I remember from when I was a little girl).  They are a definite "must have" and I will put that on my list for Santa! (haha!)

Visit her shop on 154 Lower Main Road, Observatory, Cape Town or her website, here.

Leipzig

The one thing I love about exhibitions like Kamersvol Geskenke (translate: Rooms Filled with Gifts) is that it allows me to discover fabulous local talent. LEIPZIG is practically my neighbour and I only discover them now. One of the best kept floral secrets it seems... They are a team of six very creative and talented young ladies, devoting themselves passionately to wedding and function design. Read there blog here or visit their website here

Elsbeth Eksteen @ Kamersvol Geskenke

Being the image/design junkie that I am, I headed off to Kamersvol Geskenke for a bit of eye candy and some wonderful photo opportunities. I was not disappointed.

One of the stalls that grabbed my attention, was that of Elsbeth Eksteen. Her quirky, fun paintings are just sooo divine, they can only make you smile. Personally I adore the friend(ly) fox.....  You can follow her blog here, on Facebook here, Etsy shop here and her webpage here.

Some more images borrowed from her site:

This is the stuff that little (and big) girls' dreams are made of. Enjoy!

Happy day!
