Stellenbosch Fresh Goods Market

I went this morning with my son to the Fresh Goods Market in Stellenbosch. Like usual, it was a lovely experience. The ambiance is casual, relaxed and friendly. Is there a better way to spend a lazy Saturday than to go with family/friends to relax around long tables with good company and the best selection of freshly prepared food and drinks to choose from?

Even though it is packed, there is ample (secure) parking and it doesn't feel too crowded so you don't have to elbow your way around the place. We usually take our time to walk around first, feasting our eyes on all that is on offer, before we decide what to have.

Offerings range from divine cakes and sweets, the most divine sausages and cold meats from Rudi's, freshly baked bread, flat bread with a variety of fillings, freshly made stroopwafels (yum) delicious fresh coffee and of course, croissants and pain au chocolat. There's much, much more than what I've just mentioned, but I'll keep it as a surprise for you when you visit the market yourself.
