French Flair
A few pictures from one of my favourite sites Du Côté de chez Vous , although the pictures are from their Facebook page, here.
I love this idea for an entry hall; something dedicated to
the "little ones" in the family. Very, very cute!
This idea for indoor pot-plants is just too clever
I love the bright, cheerful colours of this kitchen, don't you?
How I would LOVE to have an outdoor space like this one......
How gorgeous are these lampshades?
Hmmm, the French have a fabulous sense of style that I just ADORE. Check out the links to this site for some lovely ideas, or just some delicious eye-candy.
Have a Happy weekend!!

Good bye!
Oh, no!! We were devastated when we heard about Luke and Jessica leaving at the end of the month. This dynamic duo have started Nook Eatery three years ago and have really impressed us with their quality food and pastries and quirky decorating style. They will be missed but we wish them all the best with their future plans.
Nook, on van Ryneveld Street
The best Sticky Cinna-buns, EVER!!
Nook, inside...
Pain-au-chocolat, even better than in France!!
For those who live in the area (or nearby); you snooze, you loose, SO, you still have until the end of the month to indulge in these delicious treats!
Happy weekend to all. (Ours will probably start off with a croissant, pain-au-chocolat or simply divine French toast at Nook...)

Stellenbosch Fresh Goods Market
More pictures of the Slowfood Market in Stellenbosch.
Here are a few pics of the crafts you can purchase there.

My personal preference is the locally produced crafts. It's so nice to support home made crafts, and I think there is a tendency toward that trend now. That's great!

Stellenbosch Fresh Goods Market
I went this morning with my son to the Fresh Goods Market in Stellenbosch. Like usual, it was a lovely experience. The ambiance is casual, relaxed and friendly. Is there a better way to spend a lazy Saturday than to go with family/friends to relax around long tables with good company and the best selection of freshly prepared food and drinks to choose from?

Even though it is packed, there is ample (secure) parking and it doesn't feel too crowded so you don't have to elbow your way around the place. We usually take our time to walk around first, feasting our eyes on all that is on offer, before we decide what to have.
Offerings range from divine cakes and sweets, the most divine sausages and cold meats from Rudi's, freshly baked bread, flat bread with a variety of fillings, freshly made stroopwafels (yum) delicious fresh coffee and of course, croissants and pain au chocolat. There's much, much more than what I've just mentioned, but I'll keep it as a surprise for you when you visit the market yourself.

Bragdolls
There's a wonderful little shop in Stellenbosch called Bragdolls, situated on the Market Street side of the Black Horse Centre.

In the shop you will find beautiful wool felt items such as toys, shoes, bags, mobiles, accessories and hats. Other stuff like womens' dresses, skirts, tunics, pants and girls' dresses and other clothes too.
I fell in love with the knitted animal hats and two little penguins...(smile...)
The physical address is Black Horse Centre, cnr off Dorp & Market Street, Stellenbosch. If you're ever in the area, it's worth a visit. For sure!!
