nettle green

I honestly don't know how I managed to stumble upon this website, but I'm sure happy that I did. Just look at the sweetest button badges.

cute elephant flask

cheerful melamine cups

funky lunch boxes and tins

tea for two (or more)

decoration for you little princess's room

Besides these cute melamine cups and funky lunch boxes and cases they have lovely floormats, rugs, lighting, kids clothing and much, much more. With summer on the way for many of you (in the North) there's a great variety of picnic ware and such. Just imagine a picnic on the beach with these bright and cheerful tableware. I'm almost jealous...

Market day

Market day was finally here. I had my first market experience at The Treasury Market in Stellenbosch on Friday night and Saturday morning. What a lovely experience! We had a lot of people coming through to shop, with live entertainment on the Friday night. There was plenty of wonderful stuff to choose from; a shoppers' dream! (I did my fair share of shopping too, of course!)

Here's what my table looked like:

I learned a lot from this experience, and will know what to expect; made a few mistakes too, but that's how we learn. For now, I'm looking forward to 9 February for the next market. Watch this space!

Et Voila!

Here's another bag finished!

This fabric is so lovely and colorful, the bag doesn't need too much decoration. I tried a new pattern too, which is a lot easier than the one I've been using until now. Phew!

I wrote about two lovely pieces of fabric I found here and went on to make one bag so far. This is what it looks like....

The little rose with lace trimming is detachable, and can be used for a brooch or put anywhere on the bag, as you like. This will be for sale at the Treasury Market too.

Fabric finds

I was very pleased when I found these two pieces of fabric the other day....

These are just perfect for two lovely bags; totes or shoulder bags, I haven't decided yet.... Keep a look-out to see what I've done with them!

Sewing

Slowly, slowly working on my bags..... The more it goes, the busier I am with daily stuff.... Tomorrow I will organize to have my swing tags printed. I am so excited about that!

Handmade stuff

A peek at two bags I made... I just love the fabric.

Over the next few weeks I'll have to spend more time in my workroom than I have been; I need to build up enough stock for the market.... "Working" from home is just so distracting...hehe.

Sewing

A while ago (was it really that long?) I posted a few photo's about bags in the making here. I finished some of them around the time of that post, but this one was done only today. I am rather pleased with the result.

I really love this paisley pattern, and although brown is not the trend right now (or is it?), I think the paisley and corduroy works really well together.

HAPPY DAY!

Bags

I'm making more bags to take around to a local shop to sell.

Here are some of the finished ones...

And these ones are in the making....

I must just find the time to focus on only that.... Not so easy to do. Also, my mind is all over the place with ideas of stuff to make, it's pretty hard to focus on one thing at a time.
Wish me luck!

Tote bags

Here are some of the bags I made....

Lots of little detail in these....

These three have been sold already. I'm making more these days and will have some new ones to show you soon.
