Bedroom inspiration

Here are a few pictures of absolutely delightful bedrooms from the Loft I Love Facebook page that is just too good to keep to myself. For me,  a perfect way to start a Monday is with a bit of eye candy like these. "Like" their Facebook page and you'll also get inspiring updates like these to brighten up your day (wink). 

This first picture with the suspended bed and fabulous grey bedlinen is just "WOW!" and something I wouldn't mind for my own bedroom. Not to mention the fireplace and the awesome white hide on the floor!

The headboard in the second to last picture is super "WOW!", don't you think? Have a look....

Like usual (because that's what I like...) the theme is grey and white although I do like a bit of bohemian Moroccan brightness too, sometimes. These just create such a fantastic, serene atmosphere for a bedroom that is impossible to resist.

Baby rooms

I've seen some boring old rooms for lil' ones, and I've seen some really awesome ones. I guess it's all about personal taste. But me; I like something a bit funky. After all, the room will not be noticed by baby at all; until she reaches an age where she can appreciate it.  It really is a space where YOU spend a lot of time, so I think it should be decorated with YOU in mind too.

Inspiration

Bathrooms... For me, a bathroom is not just a room for personal hygiene; it's a room where I want to relax, unwind and drift away, feeling refreshed and revitalised after a good soak in a fragrant tub. It is for me, a sanctuary, a peaceful, private spa. Here are some pictures that inspire me to revamp (at least) our guest toilet (for now).

Weylandts

A recent visit to Knysna with visitors from The Netherlands took us on a trip to Thesen Island and in particular checking out the Weylandts shop on the island. If you're into contemporary furniture and design for the home, this is the place to go. Weylandts stock a wide variety of furniture and décor items that will leave your pocket a bit emptier but your home looking fabulous.

As the sole distributor in South Africa of designers such as Kenneth Cobonpue and Ethnicraft it is not surprising that Weylandts is such a favourite shopping destination for home decorators.
